Business Process Reengineering.

Revised edition of Björn-Erik`s pioneering book on BPR launched in 2012

In 1993 Björn-Erik authored the definitive textbook on Business Process Reengineering in Scandinavia. It was first issued in Norway, then translated to Swedish, selling over 10.000 copies. The Norwegian book is still in print, but the Swedish book became unavailable as the original edition was sold out. In 2012 a new, revised and updated edition was launched together with our partners Cordial Business Advisers. A New Challenge of Flexibility

The concept of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) was pioneered by Dr. Michael Hammer in the US in 1989. It was introduced in Scandinavia in the early 90`s by Björn-Erik Willoch. Although great strides were made in terms of productivity and customer centricity during the following decade, much remains to be done, as business processes now must live up to the new challenge of flexibility and business model innovation, entailing different process configurations in different markets, channels and customer segments … something that was not foreseen when this concept was first launched.
